COVID-19 Policy

Yoder Department Store is committed to the health and wellbeing of our customers, employees, and partners. Therefore, during the COVID-19 pandemic we have implemented new policies aimed at creating a safe environment in which customers can shop with the confidence that we have taken precautions to ensure your safety. As always we adhere to all Local, State and Federal government guidance and regulations.

Related to our employees, Yoder Department Store performs daily temperature checks and a administers a health questionnaire of all employees. In addition, we require anyone that may have been exposed to COVID-19 to stay home for the maximum recommended time or provide a negative COVID-19 test before returning to work. We also require regular hand washing all employees to wear PPE.

In regards to your shopping environment, we clean all shopping carts after use by customers as well as high traffic areas. Shoes are individually treated after being tried on by any customer. Fitting rooms are also cleaned after each use. In these times of uncertainty, it is imperative that you can shop safely without the fear of infection. Although this list is not all-inclusive, it is meant to give you an idea of the steps that Yoder Department Store has taken to provide you with the safest environment we can.

We will issue a full refund for most items returned within 90 days in new condition. No refunds will be processed for items greater than 90 days.

While we can replace damaged or defective merchandise, we can't exchange items. Please return the unwanted item for a refund and place a new order for the item you want. When we receive your return, we'll issue a refund. If the item was sent to you as a gift, we'll send you a gift card for the amount of the refund.

We're unable to honor previous sale prices or promotions when you place your new order.

Return Information

To return an item purchased on YoderDepartmentStore.com or at our store:

All your items purchased on YoderDepartmentStore.com can be returned directly to Yoder Department Store or by mail.

The original printed receipt or gift receipt included with your shipment must accompany each item returned. No refunds will be issued for any items returned without a receipt. If you choose to return your item to the store, shipping and handling cannot be refunded. Items eligible for returns must be new, unused, and contain all original product packaging and accessories. Fabric must be new and not have been washed. A re-stocking fee for returned fabric will be charged equal one-half yard of the original cost of the fabric being returned. Gift Cards cannot be returned. If you do not have an account with us, you will need to establish one.

PACKING & SENDING A RETURN

You can mail your return to us in just a few simple steps.

  1. Pack the items along with the packing slip securely in a box. You can use the box the items arrived in or another box, if you prefer.
  2. Include a note how you received the item, the reason for the return and the quantity.
  3. Affix the shipping label to the outside of the box.
  4. Leave the package for your mail carrier to pick up.

REFUND INFORMATION

Refunds for items purchased at Yoder Department Store and YoderDepartmentStore.com vary slightly, depending upon where you return your item (either to a store or by mail) and if you purchased the item or if you received it as a gift.

All refunds for purchased items in the store or on-line will be issued in the same form of payment originally used, including credit cards and Gift Cards. Refunds by mail are issued within seven to 14 days of receiving your returned item. We will notify you via e-mail as soon as your refund is processed.

  • Credit Card Refunds: If you purchased with a credit card, your refund will be credited back to the original credit card.
  • Gift Card Refunds: If you purchased your item with a Yoder’s Gift Card, your refund will be mailed to you as a Yoder’s Gift Card.

Refunds for gifts purchased at Yoder Department Store will be issued as Gift Cards, which can be used online or in stores.

Important Information About Refunds:

  • Unless the return is a result of our error, the cost of returning the product is at the purchaser’s expense.
  • Shipping and handling will not be refunded unless the return is a result of our error.

International Refunds

Refunds on international transactions may differ from original purchase price due to fluctuation of bank exchange rates between date of original transaction and date of refund. Yoder Department Store does not assume any liability for exchange rate fluctuations. All sales and refunds are issued in United States Dollars (USD) only.

DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE AND SHIPPING ERRORS

If a return is a result of our error or manufacturer defect, we will email or mail a return UPS label for you to return the defective or incorrect merchandise.

If you need your merchandise immediately, you may purchase the correct merchandise and we will ship it immediately. You will receive credit upon our receipt of the defective or incorrect merchandise. Alternatively, you may return the original merchandise and we will send the new merchandise upon our receipt of the defective or incorrect merchandise.

Merchandise deemed to be defective will be replaced with the same or equivalent at the time of return. Defective merchandise is deemed so at our sole discretion. All claims of defective merchandise must be made within 14 days of the original sale. We are unable to process any claims beyond 14 days.

Foreign Transactions

All transactions outside the United States, equal to or above $200 must be purchased through Electronic Wire Transfer. Customers may email Yoders at info@yoderdepartmentstore.com for wiring instructions.

Can I special order items you might not have in stock?

Absolutely! Any item available from our vendors can be special ordered and can be shipped right to your doorstep, worldwide.

Do you carry merchandise that is made U.S.A.?

We carry many brands still made in the U.S.A. Specifically, our most popular, comfort shoe, is manufactured in San Antonio, Texas. Another great western style boot/shoe, Double H ™ is also manufactured in the U.S.A. Even some of the recently popularized Crocs™ are made in the U.S.A.

In our fabric department, Wrights trims and tapes are made in the U.S.A. as are Coats & Clarks and YKK zippers Other products and brands include; Robison/Anton quilting thread, Colonial garment and Patchwork Place quilting patterns and EZ Mark and Quilting Creations International stencils.

Do you sell hard to find shoe sizes?

Yes. We carry shoes as small as size 6 and up to size 18; and, in widths as narrow as AA and as wide as EEEEE.
