The 1800's/Civil War Club for 2011 at Yoder Department Store will be based on the book A Civil War Legacy by Kaye England. It is a Bread & Butter Society program called United Forever and features 12 new blocks to go along with the book. This is a different approach to a monthly club for several reasons. First, there are no kits to purchase! Each month you will be given the option to choose fat quarters and/or the new pattern for that month. There are a total of 24 blocks to choose from and alternate borders. In this way our quilts will be totally personalized and as individual as each of us. There is a history lesson each month as well as tips and new techniques. Kaye England is the featured guest speaker at this years' Shipshewana Quilt Festival and to celebrate the occasion we have a special surprise to be announced in 2011! We invite you to join us in this years' adventure. The club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 10AM, 3PM, and 6PM. Our first meeting is on Jan. 12, 2011. Please call Becky for information.
